Sands through the hourglass

I absolutely loved when Maggie mentioned hers and Julie's age vis a vis the gossip magazines that she brought to Julie. With Julie literally hanging on to life when she could slip away at any time it was so good to see the friendship as well as the humor of long time friends. Speaking of friendship as Kate hovers between life and death it was so good to see Marlena talking to her encouraging her to stay in this life. The relationship between Marlena and Kate has always been one of my favorites and the complications in their relationship makes it all the more interesting. They are both such determined strong women, though on very different paths. I really think that Sarah needs to move on from Eric although clearly Xander is not a good choice.  Sarah continues to sing Eric's praises but actually Eric can never make up his mind and is constantly hand wringing over what he should do next. And what about Jennifer? Is she going to be saved, and by whom? Stay tuned

So once again two women are dying to be with Eric; why is beyond me. Eric is so self absorbed it defies reality. Eric's "undying" love for Nicole will no doubt be tested by Sarah's pregnancy but I would like to see Sarah move on past Eric. Meanwhile what is happening with Julie? Will Julie survive this massive heart attack? We haven't heard anything for days. By far my favorite conversation this week was between Blair and Dorian..oops I mean Eve and Vivian. Any scences between these two are solid gold. And what of Kate? Stay tuned

Now it comes as no surprise that Vivian Alamain would try to kill Kate and certainly is no surprise that it would take place in the park near the square. I for one would never want to even take a chance walking through that park in Salem and my daughter agrees with me. Although one can expect any murderous behavior from Vivian;  I find it hard to believe that Victor would take matters literally into his own hands by trying to strangle Ben with a necktie no matter how ironic. What will Brady do to stop this, as he enters the room? We will find that out next. However Xander not killing Ben for Victor shows that he is still on the path to win Sarah's heart. Alas, Sarah, now pregnant and her true love, Eric coming back to town with his true love Nicole until yesterday thought to have perished. Back to Kate, what will become of her? She was shot by Vivian and backed into that grave; but in Salem that doesn't necessarily mean that she is dead. I'm sure that Kate will get out of...

So today Victor decided to give Brady another go at being CEO of Titan as long as he helps him get rid of Ben. Once again Ben is ready to strike out as Victor and company conspire against him Victor, while haranguing Brady over his obvious missteps had the best line of the day. Referring to Brady not realizing that he was with Kristen disguised as Nicole instead of the real Nicole, Victor stated; "You can't even tell one homicidal tramp from another" Love it. However I have to give credit to another great line when Stefan and his mother Vivian are reunited and plotting what revenge on Salemites they will get. Vivian is day drinking quite a bit and Stefan asks her vis a vis her return from the "dead" "Did your doctor tell you that you should be drinking" and his mother Vivian replied "Oh he insisted on it" Now that (SPOILER ALERT)..Nicole has been found by Eric and we know they are soon on their way back to Salem; it looks like Sarah is pre...

It's not the Walking Dead, but the dead keep resurfacing in Salem and look none the worse for having been deceased. As we await the return to the land of the living of "Nicole", I am overjoyed that Robin Strasser is now playing the part of villianess "Vivian Alamain".  Ms. Strasser is beloved by me and many others as "Dorian Lord" of now bygone "One Life to Live". I can't imagine better casting than that of Robin Strasser as Vivian.  I can't wait to see what havoc she will wreak in Salem. Eric and Ben are now part of the attempt to rescue Nicole and to return Vivian to Salem. It seems that poor Ben walks right into every bad thing that can happen; and I wonder how this will play out. Of course Eric will go to any length to find Nicole and once found I'm afraid that this will be the end for Eric and Sarah.  I think that Sarah will be getting the better part of the deal, as any relationship with Eric is the kiss of death except fo...
